A few of my favorite stories to tell

From Sea to Shining Sea

This was one of my favorite stories to write. Telling Sara Lee’s story about her journey across America to raise awareness about PTSD among fellow veterans was inspiring.

Graduate enrollment grows significantly

This story had many elements to it which included interviews with our admissions office, director of online programs, and current graduate students. Not only did I write this story but I also was involved in the layout of the website and linking to other related content on the page.

Music Educator of the Year

Bruce Moss is one of the most liked professors on BGSU’s campus. I enjoyed learning more about his career and sharing his story of being named Ohio’s Music Educator of the Year.

BGSU Traditions

This is an example of a web page that I was involved in helping to create. I wrote the headlines and descriptions and pulled all of the content that I wanted to go onto the page. My web team actually created the page for me but all of the content came from me. The videos on the page were produced by me and my student team.

Student Success

I know a good story when I see it. This student contacted me about the project she worked on for one of her internships. She wanted to promote it in our daily campus email. After learning about her experience, I instead asked if I could tell her story. Her internship allowed her to do public good, which is what our university strives to achieve.

Dancing her way into nursing

When I heard Jennifer Goodman’s story about quitting her dancing career due to an injury that ultimately led to her pursuing a nursing career, I thought it was a great way to show that it’s never too late to go back to school (by the way, that’s me on the table behind her).
