Serve as the spokesperson for the City of Perrysburg which includes administration, public service, public utilities, police, and fire divisions.
Inform the public about all things pertaining to city services, announcements, or events through multiple forms of communication including: Website, social media, monthly e-newsletter, and various local media outlets.
Work closely with the media to get messages out to the public accurately and in a timely manner. This includes writing press releases and weekly communication updates.
Create all marketing materials related to the city.
Manage city social media pages, including the mayor.
Manage content on the city website.
Attend bi-weekly staff meetings with directors and managers to gather information for internal and external newsletters.
Assist the mayor with talking points for speaking engagements including the annual State of the City address.
